- How is this different from Image Converter?
- Image Converter focuses on format pairs (PNG→JPG, HEIC→PNG). Image Tools is for processing: compress, resize, crop, favicon, Base64, and similar jobs. Use both when needed.
- Image compressor or Compress PNG?
- Unsure of the format? Use Image compressor and pick an output. Clearly a PNG that must get smaller? Use Compress PNG (defaults toward WebP). Only JPEG? Use Compress JPG.
- Can I batch many files?
- Most processing pages handle one image so you can compare previews. For many files of the same format, check the matching converter page for queue support.
- Can the result be a site icon?
- Yes. Use Favicon generator for a multi-size ICO, or crop square then resize for a PNG icon.
- Why does a transparent PNG become black as JPG?
- JPG has no transparency. Use Transparent PNG to JPG and pick a white or custom fill first.
